The Graduate Nursing Clinical Resource Center: what's in it and what to look for

What it is

The Graduate Nursing Clinical Resource Center is a SharePoint site that needs a Maryville login. An Ask Maryville article on getting information about the clinical process calls it the “main source” for clinical information. It sits apart from Exxat, where you handle compliance and requests, and from Canvas, where your courses live.

Maryville runs a second login-only SharePoint site called Graduate Nursing Onboarding Information. Its name suggests the material for sites that run their own onboarding, but its contents aren't described publicly. If one site doesn't have what you need, check the other.

Everything on this page comes from Maryville's public descriptions of both sites, so treat it as a map of what should be there; the sites themselves show what is there this semester.

What Maryville says lives there

Two public sources describe the contents. The Ask Maryville article lists topics, and a February 2026 Maryville blog post describes an online resource center “updated each semester” with a similar list. The blog doesn't name the site, but the contents line up closely.

What to look for first

Several things students most need are missing from Maryville's public pages, and the Resource Center is the likeliest place to find them. Go in with a list.

The site and preceptor request deadline for your term, and how far ahead Maryville wants requests
How to ask for preceptor placement assistance or the preceptor mentorship program, and who can use it
Per-course clinical hours for your three practicums, since Maryville publishes only the 750-hour total
Which system now records your hours and preceptor evaluations: Exxat, or eValue as in older guides
Any preceptor agreement, preceptor CV requirement or clinical log form, none of which is named publicly
Board of Nursing requirements for the state where you'll do clinicals
For PMHNP, the psychotherapy-hour rules a 2023 webinar said are in the clinical packet
For AGACNP, whether a per-preceptor hour limit applies

When sources disagree, and who to ask

When a public page and the Resource Center disagree, the Resource Center, your course and Maryville staff take priority over anything on an outside site, this one included.

If you can't find something or can't get access, ask the Maryville Online Clinical Team. For a question about a specific course's requirements, start with your instructor; an Ask Maryville article names the Graduate Nursing Lead Faculty for each course as the next step after that.

Watch for old and new material side by side. Maryville still hosts older pages, such as a 2020 state authorization page and eValue guides from 2021 to 2023, next to current Exxat articles. When they disagree, go by the newest Maryville document, and ask if the difference affects your clinical.

Questions Maryville students ask

How do I get into the Graduate Nursing Clinical Resource Center?

It's a SharePoint site that opens with your Maryville login, and an Ask Maryville article points graduate nursing students to it. Access is reserved for Maryville students. If the link won't open with your student account, contact the Maryville Online Clinical Team well before your clinical term.

Where do I find the MOU for my clinical site?

A 2021 Ask Maryville article says the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding), also called the affiliation agreement, is provided in the Graduate Nursing Clinical Resource Center. Check that the copy you use is current. If your site prefers its own contract, the same article says that original contract supersedes the MOU.

Is the Physical Examination Form in the Resource Center?

Not according to a February 2026 Ask Maryville article, which says the Physical Examination Form is a 3-page template in Exxat Compliance, completed by an MD, DO, NP or PA. The Resource Center covers compliance more broadly, but that particular form comes from Exxat.

Is the clinical packet the same thing as the Resource Center?

Maryville doesn't say. The welcome page says Maryville sends preceptor qualifications, qualifying site types and Clinical Database System steps the semester before your first clinical, and a 2023 webinar called that the clinical packet. The Resource Center is a standing site. Read both, and ask if they conflict.

Does the Resource Center explain how to get placement assistance?

Most likely. Maryville's public pages describe preceptor placement assistance and a preceptor mentorship program without a public request process, and the 2026 blog says its online resource center lists contacts and how to submit site requests. Look there first, then ask the Maryville Online Clinical Team.
