Who we are

Maryville Preceptor is an independent placement service. It is not part of, run by, or endorsed by Maryville University. We use Maryville's name to say whose students we work with.

What we do, and what we do not

• We search for preceptors and clinical sites that match your program, course and location, and we help you prepare the documents your course asks for.
• We do not approve placements. Maryville reviews and approves every preceptor, site and agreement.
• We cannot promise that a particular preceptor will accept, that a site will sign an agreement by a given date, or that Maryville will approve a placement.
• We do not complete coursework, sign documents on anyone's behalf, or log clinical hours for you.

Your part

• Give us accurate information about your program, course, license and location.
• Follow Maryville's rules, your course syllabus and your preceptor's site policies.
• Complete your Maryville compliance items, such as immunizations and background checks, on Maryville's timeline.

Quotes and payment

If you go ahead with a placement, you receive a written quote and terms for your specific track, hours and location before you commit. Those written terms govern payment, changes and refunds for your placement.

Information on this site

Our pages explain Maryville's clinical process as we understand it from Maryville's own published sources, checked on the date shown on each page. Maryville can change its rules at any time. Your current Maryville handbook, your course and your faculty have the final word.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including a delayed course or graduation date, arising from a site's, preceptor's or school's decision. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from the date it is posted. Questions go through the contact form or the chat.
