The form is best when you want a considered reply. Program, clinical start, and city and state give the placement advisor enough to answer with specifics.
The chat is best for a quick question first, such as whether your track is open in your state or what we check before a preceptor's name reaches you.

Either way, a placement advisor answers, and the conversation can continue by email or text if you gave those details.

What to have ready

The form only asks for the basics. These details decide which preceptors and sites could work for you, so keep them close for the first conversation:

Your program and track, such as FNP, PMHNP or a post-master's certificate
The practicum course that comes next, for example NURS 621, NURS 643 or NURS 662, and when it begins
Your curriculum, if you were admitted in Fall 2023 or before
Your county, and how far you're willing to drive on clinic days
Where your Exxat compliance stands right now
Anyone you've already asked, and their answer
Any preceptor or site Maryville turned down, with the reason given

What the first reply covers

If your practicum opens soon
