Which Maryville programs need a preceptor?

All five NP concentrations, the post-master's NP certificates, the DNP with an NP concentration and the BSN-to-DNP. The post-master's DNP needs a project site, and the RN-to-BSN capstone has clinical experiences without a preceptor search.

Can I take a Maryville NP program from any state?

Almost. Maryville's June 2026 licensure grids mark New York as not meeting requirements for all five NP tracks, and Louisiana for every track except FNP. See placement by state.

Is Maryville's NP program fully online?

Yes. Maryville describes its online nursing programs as 100% online with no campus visits required. Your practicums happen in person with a preceptor near you.
